Duck Summer Jobs: Chelsea Alatriste Martinez 🦆💼
Chelsea, a third-year Oregon Law student, worked as a Wayne Morse Legal Fellow in Congresswoman Bonamici’s D.C. office this summer. In this position, she attended congressional briefings and hearings on a wide range of issues and prepared briefing memos, letter recommendations, and hearing notes. “My final memorandum examined the First Amendment implications of misgendering in elderly long-term care facilities. I also participated in the U.S.-Asia Institute’s 14th Annual China 101 Series for Congressional Staff and the Federal Bar Association’s Summer Law Clerk Program,” Chelsea said.Â
Through this opportunity, Chelsea was also able to connect with fellow Ducks, including Beatrice Kahn, Evelyn Woo, and Loni Nguyen. “Having a supportive group of colleagues to explore, learn, and grow with this summer was an invaluable blessing,” she shared.
