Say hello to ‘Zulu’, a Land Rover Defender fitted with a Jaguar 4.2L V8. 🇬🇧 The Land Rover Defender has long been a favorite for performance upgrades, with JE Motorworks (formerly JE Engineering) standing out as one of the most respected specialists in the field. Founded in 1975 by John Eales, the firm built its reputation on enhancing the Rover V8 engine, later expanding its expertise to suspension, braking, automatic gearbox conversions, and full V8 engine swaps. Their pinnacle offering, the “Zulu” conversion, combines these upgrades into a high-performance package. This Defender was acquired by the current owners around 2012/2013, already converted to Zulu specification with a Jaguar 4.2-litre V8 engine and automatic transmission. Following the purchase, it underwent an extensive five-year overhaul, receiving new Recaro seats, a respray, a redesigned front grille, new side steps, and significant engine work.
