Let’s talk about another tool that may be beneficial when considering communication: light tech AAC! ‼️ Remember, as you consider tools and supports you’ll want to make sure you consider the features of these tools. First the team should simply create a brainstormed list of the tools you think might work before narrowing it down. AAC has changed rapidly in the last several years, so much so that we forget how important light tech AAC is to use in conjunction with high tech AAC! Just because a student has a speed generating device, it doesn’t mean they can’t use light tech as well! What if they’re at the pool? Or the park? Or their device isn’t charged?
