Communication is the active process of exchanging information and ideas that effects students ALL DAY, EVERYDAY! Students should be able to express themselves with personalized movements, gestures, objects, vocalizations, verbalizations, signs, pictures, symbols, printed words, and output from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
When individuals communicate effectively, they are able to express needs, wants, feelings, and preferences that others can understand. This means they get to participate in their school day!
Where can I find ideas to try?
