✏️ Union Vocabulary Lesson 📚 It’s time to learn some union lingo! For a long time, using the word “union” was like a bad word in the state of Virginia! As we move forward, we need to destigmatize the vocabulary that is commonly used. Without unions we wouldn’t even have weekends or lunch breaks, after all. Let’s start with the most obvious word first: UNION: An organization of two or more employees who band together as a single entity to address hours, pay, and working conditions with their employer.
