On Tom Thibodeau, the Knicks' bench, and the team's back-to-back losses against tanking organizations: I don't think the Knicks' rookies are an on-court solution to the team's lingering problems. But it kind of comes down to this, for me: if you're mailing in these games, that's honestly fine. But then actually do it productively! The front office filled the roster out with rookies for cap reasons and the fanbase understood that when it happened. The head coach is now operating as if he doesn't have other options because they're mostly rookies. The organization knew for months that this exact situation was a decent possibility, no matter which of the 5 starters it was that happened to get hurt. And it knew Thibodeau wasn't going to want to play the rookies the roster was filled out with. So what WAS the plan in the event that one of the five starters missed over a week straight? The front office could not afford to make more additions to the roster without trading rotational players...
