11 weeks post accident and first surgery, 5 weeks post second surgery, just 1.5 after severe allergic reaction, and I was able to make it to Anaheim to be with the gustavusdanceteam. 11 weeks ago I didn’t even think going wasn’t a possibility. 6 weeks ago, I didn’t know if it was. I am incredibly grateful for all of my doctors, nurses, and my physical therapist for making sure that this would be a possibility, and am thankful that they recognized how important this was to me. I may be sore, tired, and in need of a few days of recovery, but I wouldn’t exchange it for the alternative. I could not have survived this weekend if the team was not so understanding and willing to help when I needed it.
