The people I work best with are the ones who tell me what’s wrong with what I’m making. They tell me what’s right as well - but being able to sit down and evaluate where the things you’re creating are with the people who want it created or to gather thoughts from your audience is SO critical in the creative process. I remember first putting videos on YouTube, and just how mean people could be…and the same for the crits at university… But like anything else you get better at understanding feedback. Working out what matters from what doesn’t. What can be fixed. What can’t.
