Meet Brandon! He’s here to talk about being involved on campus ⬇️ “Coming to such a big school can feel extremely daunting. It can feel like you’re just another face in the crowd, and I know this because that’s how I felt. But, it was the community I fostered while at UF that made me feel like, for the first time, I belonged. From the Gator Band to the Filipino Student Association, I immediately found people I knew would support me and be there when I needed them. They became my support system and I was able to become theirs. That sense of community is what eventually led me to become a Preview Staffer. As my friends and organizations did for me, I wanted to help incoming students feel like they belonged and deserved to be here. And by doing so, I was able to enrich my community even deeper with my fellow Staffers. Community is such an important aspect of life, and for me, UF is where that started.
