Dear Founders, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc. is the only black greek lettered sorority that was founded at a PWI (Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana) in 1922 during the strong era of the Ku Klux Klan. I also learned that we were founded out of necessity; not tradition. As a matter of fact the Grand Dragon lived right next door to the university where we were founded.
