The distance between cones used in the drill can vary depending on the version:
Speed:
3 sets of 3 ā
Rest about 35-60 seconds after each sprint.
T-cone drill:
Use four cones, with one cone directly in front of you, and the other two cones seven to ten yards to the left and right.
Start at the bottom of the T and sprint 10 yards to the first cone, then shuffle to the left and right cones, and back to the center cone.
Modified T-test
Use cones A and B that are five meters apart, and cones C and D that are each 2.5 meters from cone B.
You can use for fitness or speed depending on your rest and sets.
