March 2025 marks the fifth anniversary of the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. IPR has spoken to Iowans who started projects in 2020 that continue to grow and have an impact today. In 2020, Sally Jacobsen Ortgies set a goal to visit all of Iowa's state parks. It was the 100th anniversary of Iowa's state park system — and also year COVID-19 changed everything.
