Lance Williams won the Student Body Treasurer seat in the first-ever runoff race for the position Thursday. After narrowly missing the required 50% of votes in the general election, Williams earned 60.39% of the votes in the runoff while his opponent Jon Carter received 39.60%. “The support really means a lot,” Williams said Wednesday after the runoff was announced. “I remember coming into NC State, I said I would never make it in Student Government, and here we are running for a student body officer position.
