One thing i’ve learned while in recovery from my restrictive ED is that balance is truly key!🔑 When you notice that you’re craving a certain food, HONOR your craving because restricting yourself is never a good idea. I’ve learned that instead of just eating the food that i’m craving to also add something to the meal/snack alongside and it leaves me so much more satisfied! This all being said, part of recovery might include you just eating different foods you’ve been craving that are deemed “unhealthy” by diet culture but the truth is, having a warped sense of the food’s nutritional value is what’s actually unhealthy.
