Coaching is a tough profession and a delicate balance. I love it but, as anyone, I do question myself. This is what we do if we want to be better.
Should I be striving to compete and see what I can do as an athlete in this sport? Do my athletes feel cared for and that they are important? We always want our level of coaching and relationship development and community development at MASS to be top notch. I think we’re doing that.
Kyle and I work hard to find the balance between what he takes on and what I take on SO THAT I can compete as well as be involved in EFM and support friends businesses, because that is important to me. Even though we look at this often, I still second guess myself.
And then I had two athletes surprise me and fly to Orlando because I was competing. They spent their hard earned money and a long weekend to support their teammate and their coach. Instantly I’m reminded that we are doing a good job and that this is more than good. This is amazing.
