We were able to assist Sweet Pea’s owner with a grant that helped with some of the diagnostic costs, to determine her nasal cancer. They have been treating holistically and we will also assist with the cost of herbs, in the future. Sweet Pea was a rescue dog from the Garrido Stray Rescue Foundation who had been living on the street for sometime. We don’t know how long she lived on the streets, but it was a great deal of time. Sweet Pea is resilient! Since she has joined our family, she brings us as much enjoyment as we have hoped. She was a wonderful companion to her brother, Puck, and was his greatest protector. Unfortunately, we lost Puck in September at the age of 16, and Sweet Pea has been missing him greatly. Sweet Pea enjoys long walks with her mom, swimming, and sometimes still getting into a bit of mischief around the house which makes everyone smile and laugh. Sweet Pea also really loves her dad.
