These 9000+ species can be divided into 3 groups: ° anecic worms - worms that build deep vertical burrows in the ground (#nightcrawlers) ° endogeic worms - worms that build shallow, horizontal burrows, but rarely come to the surface (#greenworms) ° epigeic worms - worms that live on or near the surface (#redwigglers) Red wigglers (Eisenia fetida) are the species we raise to produce our #wormcastings.
