The Rockets recognized Retired Lieutenant Colonel James Woods as the March Game Changer of the Month presented by TexasLottery. Woods enlisted in the Army Reserves under the split option program in 1984, further obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Prairie View A&M University and was then commissioned into the U.S. Army Chemical Corps. During his long tenured active-duty career, LTC Woods served as Platoon Leader, Battalion Chemical Officer, Chief of Chemical Team, Military Aide de Camp to the Director of Defense Intelligence Agency, the 7th Army Joint Multinational Command Inspector General, and more. Woods is now retired from active duty and currently serves as the Senior ROTC instructor at Houston’s Northside High School.
