I just cannot stop thinking about this case. And I haven’t stopped thinking about the ~65,000 women that have been unable to terminate pregnancies from rape in this country — around 23,000 women in Texas alone — since Dobbs was overturned by extremists installed in what once was our highest and most respectable court by a would-be dictator. I cannot stop thinking about this woman — who would have been jailed had she voluntarily taken this medication — whose husband is receiving what barely amounts to a slap on the wrist for what he attempted to do to her.
