Race Month 5-of-12 โ๏ธ
Itโs truly a special memory getting to crush a 5K PR in your town where you know the running route and can push yourself more ๐
Hereโs a few ways I was able to PR without planning on it:
๐ Ate good quality foods leading up to the race. Iโm eating a lot more protein and carbing up around workouts
๐ฆ Lots of hydration throughout the week, especially the morning of the race
๐๏ธโโ๏ธ Leg strength workouts are finally back in my lifting routine. I had pushed that aside for a long time, but my legs were able to push themselves and turn over a lot better since I started doing squats and lunges again
โก๏ธ My confidence has shot through the roof since starting to eat better foods, weight lifting more regularly and not being afraid of pushing myself
