There is always excitement around what is dropping next, but that is not what makes sneakers enjoyable for me. Sure, the feeling of getting a fresh new pair is tough to beat, but what about the feeling of pulling something out that you haven’t worn in a while and realizing it still hits just as hard? There is something about rediscovering a pair, remembering why you loved it in the first place, and letting it shine all over again. Sneakers are not just about what is new or what’s hyped or limited. They are about the stories,memories, and the moments we create in them. These Joe Freshgoods New Balance 1000s are a pair that recently reminded of that. I haven’t worn them in a long time, but pulled them out a few weeks ago, and was reminded how beautiful they are and how they make me feel when they are on foot.
