I can probably speak for many creators on this app when I say that 2022 was a weird year for Instagram, as they officially abandoned the very medium and creators that made them as successful as they are today. Even more ironic, when I was putting this photo gallery together, I got a prompt from IG saying, “This post would be great as a reel.” 🙄 appreciate the heads up, IG but I’m good. Listen, I love video and this change has made me adapt and actually prefer videography over photo, simply because of the ability to tell a deeper story. But I want to make it very clear that I will continue to share images on this app, regardless of what an ever-changing algorithm or annoying prompt stays. Photography might not be my primary focus anymore, but it will always be my first love and the medium that brought me into this industry in the first place. I will continue to pursue those fleeting, singular moments that make photography special in 2023 and beyond, and I cannot wait to share that...
