when I was a kid I had this little duck rain coat. one day my mom said I was getting ready to walk out into the rain and I looked back at her and in the MOST serious of tone … I said “well… it’s a good thing I’m a duck” and walked boldly out into the rain. I think about this story a lot because I don’t know where strength comes from .. and as I get older I wonder how I was so brave when I was little but strength comes from tiny little steps forward sometimes.
