Na Fianna and Cuala have completed the first ever double in hurling and football by Dublin club teams, something that only Galway (2006) and Cork (1973 & 1979) have done before. Salthill/Knocknacarra and Portumna completed the double for the Tribesmen almost two decades ago while Nemo Rangers’s wins in 1973 and 1979 were accompanied by Glen Rovers and Blackrock in the same year.
