Our Raider Golfers posted their best two rounds of the year on Friday and Saturday in the GSGA High School Invitational in Carrollton. In what was also the toughest field we’ll see this season, the team opened with a score of 319 on Friday and followed it up with 316 on Saturday. Dayton Mucha and Owen Montlack-Friedman led the team with two-day totals of 156. Dayton posted two rounds under 80 (77 on Friday and 79 on Saturday). Owen had the team’s best round of the season so far, shooting a 1-over-par round of 73 on Saturday. Connor Negro and Fredrik Donohue also had one sub-80 round. Connor shot 80-79 for a 2-day total of 159, while Fredrik went 79-88 for a 2-day score of 167. Sam Cooper was part of the four counted scores on Saturday, scoring a solid round of 85 after his opening-day score of 86. Even with the 12th-place finish in this tournament, the scores moved us up to 15th in the statewide rankings for Class 5A golf. #RICSRaiders | #RICSGolf Write up: Coach Germano
