UPDATE: Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell spoke after Saturday’s scrimmage about defensive linemen who have stood out. This is what he had to say in response to the question: “DeAnte McCray has done a really nice job. Deamontae Diggs is further along than what I thought that he would be. I like what I am seeing from him. The Desir brothers, they have been really, really good. KJ Sampson flashed today where he had a couple of nice plays.” This isn’t to say that other defensive linemen haven’t performed well. He just noted a couple of players that shined.
