The United Airlines NYC Half."💙 Abused in the foster care system throughout her childhood, diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, endometriosis, and autoimmune diseases, and paralyzed in 2019 due to a rare reaction to medication after a colonoscopy that left her paralyzed and unable to speak, shauntamae_ has worked tirelessly her whole life to take control of her circumstances. In January 2022, she bought a onepeloton bike and used her hands to propel her legs throughout a workout. After keeping up this routine, she eventually could push solely with her legs in her first live class with tunde2tunde. In March 2025, Shaunta-Maé ran the #UnitedNYCHalf alongside Tunde and crossed the finish line.
