The trial has begun for a Tuscaloosa mother and father charged with their infant son's death. The baby died last May after being brought to DCH Regional Medical Center with extensive injuries. He was taken to Children's Hospital in Birmingham, where he died three days later. His parents, Jameela Biggs and Antonio Martin, were initially charged with aggravated child abuse. Those charges were upgraded to murder after the baby died.
