golden hour run at 200mm 🎥
Recently sigmacanada the chance to test drive their 70-200 f2.8 and I thought to challenge myself by using it in a new setting that I typically wouldn’t use a telephoto lens for.
Normally for a sequence like this with a runner, I’d use a wider lens (24-70 for example) but using a telephoto lens changed everything for how I captured this.
I loved having the tight perspective in this scenario, especially with the compressed background using this 70-200. The golden hour sunrise easily was the cherry on top, with the lens giving me some incredible flaring and colours while shooting early in the morning.
As a sports filmmaker, the 70-200 focal length is a MUST have in my camera bag especially when you’re far away from the action, but you can also use it in so many scenarios to give a brand new perspectives in familiar areas, and get incredibly close for detail shots as well. Sigma absolutely nailed it with their 70-200 f2.8 lens 🔨
