1ļøā£ Keep the freezer door closed
A full freezer can stay cold up to 48 hoursāevery time you open the door, warm air sneaks in!
2ļøā£ Pack with ice
Fill empty spaces with frozen water bottles, containers, or water-filled Ziploc bags. These will act like ice packs to keep everything colder longer, and also provide drinking water if they melt.
3ļøā£ Monitor the temperature
A freezer thermometer is your best friend. If it stays below 40°F, your food is likely safe. Pro Tip: Freeze a cup of water with a coin on top. If the coin sinks, your food may have thawed and refrozenābetter to toss it!
