All things considered, I’m very proud to be able to reclaim the SoCal State Champs Jersey. It’s been a rough few months dealing with mental struggles, setbacks, and injuries, but #stillwerise Manhattan Beach is a race I’ve done since I was 8 or 9, and it holds a special place in my heart. This year, I competed with a broken wrist and a healing bicep. I didn’t have a ton of expectations, but nationsnumber1beast reassured me I could do something special.
