In honor of Women’s History Month, we are spotlighting female trailblazers in FAMU’s history. Introducing our next #QueensOfTheHill feature, the FIRST BLACK DISNEY PRINCESS, “Tiana” from Princess and the Frog, which is voiced by #FAMUAlumna Anika Noni Rose. Rose, born in Bloomfield, Connecticut, she followed her grandmother’s legacy to FAMU and became a 1994 famucssah theatre graduate. The Tony Award-winning actress was cast in the movie Dreamgirls as Lorrell Robinson, starring alongside Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, and many more.
