This year, "PROJECT HASHTAG 2024" showcases the works of the two finalists, Wish Office and Playing Art Method, who explore game-based dialogues around contemporary societal issues. Initiated in 2019 in partnership with mmcakorea, PROJECT HASHTAG aims to discover and support the next generation of leading Korean creators, encouraging cross-disciplinary collaboration. "The Wishes" by Wish Office presents a social experiment set in a metaverse where every desire is realized, exploring the disconnect between personal ideals and reality in contemporary society. "Playing Art Method" by Playing Art Method delves into the intersection of video games and museum exhibitions through interactive exhibits, workshops, and informative posters to address how games function as art.
