Color Of Change’s #WinningJustice campaign is creating real change, making local prosecutors accountable to the people they are supposed to serve. Mass incarceration can be combated powerfully at the local level, which is why we’re working across a number of states to push our demands with prosecutors to make them end their most unfair practices. We’ve seen victories in places like Fulton County, Alameda County, Grand Rapids, Hennepin County, and more, and worked towards ending the most unjust, unconstitutional, destructive and racist practices of prosecutors: money bail, over-charging, over-sentencing, over-policing, the drug war, attacking immigrants, sending our kids to adult prisons, and keeping secrets about their legal processes.
