My 2024 Infertility Wrapped…. And here we still are exactly one year later. 🫶 I had some of the most consequential moments of my career this past year (Magazine covers! A second spaceflight announced! Meeting the President and First Lady!) and yet…When I hit replay on the months that made up 2024, this is what my brain shows me first. And that’s the insidious thing about infertility — it dominates your life and everything else becomes the b plot. Months pass in a grim cycle of waiting for your period to start, ovulation tests, brutal waiting, pregnancy tests, brutal disappointment and then starting it all over with the next cycle. And then IVF turns your life upside down and you embark on one of the most emotionally, physically, and financially draining journeys. And then suddenly we’re here: taking my final trigger shot tomorrow. And exactly one week after, we’ll transfer my one & only healthy embryo.
