An own goal in the 88th minute and a stunning Brandon Kavanagh free kick in the 90th secured the three points for St Pats against Waterford at the RSC on Friday night. Padraig Amond had put the Blues ahead in the first half but they couldn't hold on as Pats overtook Drogheda at the top of the table as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Cork. Drogheda had what appeared to be a perfect goal disallowed in that one which will no doubt leave them bitterly disappointed as they needed a Warren Davis goal to equalise Ruairí Keatings' first half penalty. Joining St Pats at the top of the table are an impressive moving Galway United - they dispatched Bohemians 2-0 in Dublin, despite having just 28% possession over the ninety minutes.
