Shamrock Rovers came from a goal down to beat Drogheda United 2-1, but it required a penalty save deep in injury time from Ed McGinty (who gave away the spot kick) to deny Drogheda a share of the points. Conor Keeley opened the scoring for the home side but Aaron Greene and Graham Burke hit the net to take the points, eventually, for Rovers who are now four points off their hosts. Elsewhere St Pats hammered Bohs 3-0 while Shels dropped points at home to Cork City and Galway United kept up their good early form with a 1-0 win at home to Waterford.
