This weekend mirrors the crazy end to the 2007 #SixNations when Ireland went to Italy and very nearly came away with the Championship. Ireland lost to France in Croke Park in the last minute, but won their other three games to go into the last day level with France on points albeit four behind on score difference. (It's a 93 point difference this time around but there are bonus points in play.) Ireland tore Italy to shreds in a wonderful display with eight tries, but crucially missed four conversions and with the clock in the red chose to run the ball and look for a ninth try rather than end the game. Italy turned the ball over and snaffled seven points to ensure France needed to win by 24 points instead of 31 (or even 38). Incredibly in the following match just as it looked like France were going to run away with it, Scotland scored a try with four minutes left against France to silence the Parisian crowd.
