At seven, I moved to Manila and found myself immersed in a vibrant chess culture, thanks to my mother's encouragement. Despite initial challenges, I soon participated in weekend tournaments. Each game, whether a win or a loss, taught me perseverance, the importance of studying past games, and continuous learning. Remember, every great player starts as a beginner.
