"Photographing snow is both challenging and rewarding. There’s a fine line between dull gray and overexposed white. One of my tricks is to always overexpose by 1–2 stops since my light meter doesn’t recognize that I’m shooting snow. Another is to use film with a wide exposure latitude, like Kodak TMAX 100.
I took these photos with my Rolleiflex 2.8F at the Kintulammi Nature Reserve in Finland. As mentioned, I used Kodak TMAX 100 and developed it in Kodak XTOL. I call this film-developer combination my "Sunday mix" because it consistently gives me a polished, clean look—like dressing my photographs in their Sunday best." - Ari
