"I selected these images because they all have a degree of warmth to them, and this warmth is why I keep returning to Kodak film over and over again. I want my images to feel cozy, to have this sense of warmth and heat baked into them. That's probably because I grew up in the desert, it was my preferred subject matter for years and still often is. The American Southwest is a unique, surreal, and suffocatingly empty landscape. Filled with strange, leathery people and vandalized, abandoned buildings. There's a feeling out here, a depth to the color of this landscape, that I think can only be fully realized in photographs through the use of Kodak film." - Dom
