Caring for the people around you shouldn’t be a radical idea. Take it from Nandipha Titana, Community Liaison Officer at Be Part Yoluntu Center. At this South African TB research site and clinic, Nandipha makes care accessible to people who might not otherwise know how or where to get treated for TB. Today, over 80% of her community has received treatment. Nandipha’s work shows that healthcare innovations can take us far, but looking out for the people around us to bridge gaps between care and systems will take us even farther. In light of #WorldTBDay, Nandipha’s work is a meaningful example of putting others first.
