Try this take on the injectable balloon challenge and skewer a balloon without popping it! Learn how to do this experiment below 👇 What you need: Balloons (this could take a few tries!) Wooden skewer How to skewer a balloon: Blow up a balloon with air, being careful not to overfill it. Take a wooden skewer and delicately push it through the end with the knot. Once inserted, push it through the length of the balloon until you reach the top where the material is less stretched out (you can tell because it’s a little darker in color). Put your fingers at the top to stabilize the material, and then delicately push the skewer through. You did it! What’s going on? A balloon is really stretched in the middle, but not so much at the ends. When you poke a balloon in the middle with something sharp, the material is under so much tension that the tiniest hole is likely to be pulled into a big POP!
