Coney Island 6.7.23 — Honestly, I was so shocked by how orange it got in NYC. Part of the fun and joy of photography for me is being ready for the rare moments. I’ve photographed NYC in a blizzard and now through this heavy smoke. I want to continue photographing during these rare occurrences even if it puts me at a slight risk. One of my regrets is not photographing NYC when it was near empty looking back in March 2020. I understand there is a risk/reward factor to these events tho. I don’t suggest anyone go out of their way to try to photograph events that can endanger themselves. What do you think tho?
