On home ice in CANADA, at the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, 40-year-old Deanna Stellato-Dudek becomes the oldest woman to win a world title in figure skating history! 🇨🇦 Her story is pretty incredible, she was skating in my time (I was 15!) then retired from the sport and made her return 16 YEARS later in a different discipline (pairs skating) and NOW is a World Champion. From the youngest World Champion, I say CONGRATS! Welcome to the club, you inspired me and made one of the biggest moments in this sports history! In the press conference her quotes were also gold 🥇 “Can I get a quote beside the record book? It’d be ‘40 is the new 20, I hope it encourages people to not stop before they’ve reached their potential.” What a fun moment hearing this Canadian crowd roar!
