Milestone: An action or event marking a significant change or stage in development. Yesterday I completed my cardiovascular disease fellowship. Finally after 4 years of undergrad, 4 years of medical school, 3 years of residency and now 3 years of fellowship, I can call myself a Cardiologist. My heart is full. 🖤 To anyone in this marathon or aspiring to be, I have a few jewels to share.. 🖤 Take up space! Unapologetically. 🖤 Remember you deserve to be there. Your presence is your power. Own it. 🖤 Proper preparation prevents poor performance. Study and perfect your craft. 🖤 You won’t make every big event but you don’t have to miss every big event either. 🖤 Seek mentors early and stay connected with them! 🖤 Do what feels good to you, not what you THINK you should be doing. 🖤 Lean on your village whenever necessary. 🖤 Remember your why!
