“Proper preparation prevents poor performance” ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▪️Officially halfway through my Cardiology Fellowship and this slogan perfectly aligns with my experience thus far. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ▪️Here I’m placing a Swan Ganz Catheter, which is a thin tube that’s placed into the right side of the heart and arteries that lead to the lungs. We use it mostly in very ill patients as it allows us to monitor the heart’s function, blood flow and pressures around the heart.
