In the beginning of 2022, I was just a student on her last semester contemplating not going to grad school in the fall to pursue her dream instead. I was not employed as a sports photographer yet. The amount of growth I’ve witnessed in my photography within this past year is something I never thought I’d have the chance of achieving. For years I wanted to get into videography but never had the reason to. I’ve fallen in love with sports that I’d only ever seen in movies. I’ve made friendships with other photographers that I would’ve never met if the umd lacrosse team didn’t take a chance on me.
