Bold, brave, fast, legendary...the list of words that describe Michèle Mouton goes on 🤩 Mouton is probably one of the most popular names in motorsport. The French driver was first bit by the rally bug at the 1973 Monte Carlo Rally where she served as her friend, Jean Taibi’s, co-driver. Most notably, Mouton was Vice-Champion in the 1982 World Rally Championship, and winner of the 1986 German Rally Championship. She was the first woman to win a WRC race—the Rallye Sanremo in 1981—and remains the only woman to do so 🏆 Mouton retired from rallying in 1986, but remains active in the world of motorsport, only just retiring from her position as FIA Safety Delegate for the World Rally Championship following the 2024 season.
