This award is presented to a female senior student in any faculty of the university who is considered to have attained the highest achievement during a university career encompassing athletics, scholarship and university life. Congratulations to this year’s inaugural recipient of the 2025 Karen Danlychuk Award: Avarie Thomas - 🏀 Women’s Basketball and ⚽ Women’s Soccer. Defensive talent is something that Avarie Thomas has in spades but she doesn't just showcase that with one varsity team at Western, she does it with two and at a high level.
